This walking tour will lead you to the most important sites and towns of the Northern Burgundy:

Day 1: Arrival
Arrival of the participants at the 3-star hotel in Vincelottes (near Auxerre) by their own means. Meeting with a Promenades en France representative who will give you instructions and the essentials for a successful tour (road-book, maps, tourist information...). Evening meal and overnight stay.

Day 2: Vincelottes - Chablis - 24km
Start of the walking tour leaving Auxerre to go through the surrounding countryside and the vineyards of the Côte d’Auxerre before discovering the vineyards of Chablis. Dinner and night at the Hotel.

Day 3: Chablis – Nitry - 26km
You will walk through the Grand Crus of Chablis and follow the route across the areas vineyards of this area. You will then walk through the villages typical of the area, which have medieval ruins. Dinner and night at the Hotel.

Day 4: Nitry – Voutenay-sur-Cure - 20km
The day’s walk will lead you across different landscapes in the heart of countryside. You will pass close to the caves of Arcy-sur-Cure, which show where people lived thousands of years ago. Dinner and night at the Hotel.

Day 5: Voutenay-sur-Cure – Vézelay - 16km
You will walk alongside the river Cousin, to reach Vézelay, which from its eternal hill gives you a beautiful view of the valley. Dinner and night at the Hotel.

Day 6: Départ
Transfer of participants to the Railway station of Avallon in order to catch a train to Auxerre.
