The region of Burgundy won’t have any secrets for you. Crossing vineyards: from the Côte de Nuits via the Côte de Beaune to the Mâconnais, you will have hilly landscapes to admire and discover charming small viticultural villages. With plenty of history, this route will allow for you to discover châteaux, historical sites such as the Château du Clos de Vougeot, the Hospices of Beaune, … ending with the famous abbatial town of Cluny.
Day 1: Arrival in Dijon
Arrival of the participants by their own means at the hotel in the afternoon. Meeting with a representative of the agency who will hand out the road book, maps and tourist information. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Dijon – Nuits-Saint-Georges - 25km
A taxi will transfer you to Marsannay la Côte in the morning, this is where you will start your tour. By following the Route des Vins to Nuits-Saint-Georges, you will go through Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey Saint Denis, Chambolle-Musigny and Vougeot, famous villages of the Côte de Nuits. Dinner and overnight stay in Nuits-Saint-Georges.
Day 3: Nuits-Saint-Georges – Beaune - 25km
You will leave Nuits-Saint-Georges heading for Beaune, known as the Burgundy Wine Capital. You not will only discover cellars sheltering fantastic crus, but you will find paved roads that will take back into the past. The Hospices are must, don’t hesitate to go and visit it if you have enough time. Dinner and overnight stay in Beaune.
Day 4: Beaune – Chagny - 40km
You will cross the Côte de Beaune going through the best known villages such as Pommard, Meursault, and Puligny-Montrachet. You can stop by the mythical patch of Montrachet, considered justifiably as one of the greatest white wines of the world! Dinner and overnight stay in Chagny.
Day 5: Chagny – Givry - 30km
You will leave Chagny following the Voie Verte alongside the canal du Centre to Saint-Léger-sur-Dheune where you will join the vineyards of the Côte Chalonnaise. You will have the possibility to plunge yourself into the Middle Ages with a visit of the Château de Germolles. Dinner and overnight stay in Givry.
Day 6: Givry – Saint-Gengoux-Le-National - 40km
From Givry to Saint-Gengoux-le-National you will enjoy varied landscape of forests and traditional countryside houses : “cadoles” (small stone houses), wash houses, fountains… With a rich heritage and an artistic dimension, Saint-Gengoux-Le-National is known as a medieval town, it will welcome you in a burgundian way. Dinner and overnight stay in Saint-Gengoux-Le-National.
Day 7: Saint-Gengoux-Le-National – Cluny - 30km
On your way to Cluny, you will go through Cormatin, a village well-known for its château. Landscape will change… and will become hilly. Arrival in Cluny, spiritual centre of Europe in the Middle Ages which had a considerable influence on religion, intellect, art… Dinner and overnight stay in Cluny.
Day 8: Departure
End of our services.
Possible extension of the stay in the Beaujolais area (Saint Amour, Juliénas, Chénas, Moulin à Vent,…).
Occasional cyclist:
You cycle once a month, you are not afraid of hills. You are ready to cycle between 25 and 40 km per day.

- 7 Nights half-board in 3 star hotels: room with shower or bath and toilets, dinner and breakfast,
