Exploring the Champagne region by bicycle is a journey rich in diversity. The whole region is marked by the omnipresence of the vineyards. Enjoy the shimmering countryside during your cycling tour between the Marne Valley and the Montagne de Reims Natral Park. The Champagne region also has a fabulous religious heritage the jewel of which is the Gothic Cathedral of Reims.
Day 1: Arrival
Participants arrive by their own means at their 2 star hotel in Reims in the afternoon. Meeting with a Promenades en France representative who will give you instructions and the essentials to have a successful tour (road-book, maps, tourist information...). Evening meal and overnight stay.

Day 2: The Mountain of Reims - 54km
After breakfast you will leave heading for Epernay via Tinqueux, going through typical villages of the vineyards of the “Montagne de Reims”: Chigny les Roses (villages of Louise Pommery) Verzenay, Bouzy, Tours sur Marne, Aÿ… At the end of the day you will arrive in Epernay. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: The Marne valley – 32km
After breakfast you will head towards Mareuil. You will see the famous « Clos des Goisses » on a hill which reflects in the Marne in the shape of Champagne bottle lying down… You will then discover Avenay and Mutigny which have lovely view points on the Marne. You will return to Epernay in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Hautvillers – 54km
After breakfast you will follow the steps of Dom-Pérignon in Hautvillers. Passing by Champillon, you will discover the national forest of Hautvillers. After visiting the Church and the graves of Dom-Pérignon and Don-Ruinart, you will continue the route via Romery, Cormoyeux and Jouy les Reims before returning to Reims. Dinner and overnight stay.
